Emily Damyan (b.2000) is a Turkish-British born artist who works with photography, sculpture and installation. She lives and works in Nottingham, UK. Her work explores intersections between health, biopolitics and identity. She graduated in 2024 from the University of East London, where she received an honorary prize from the dean for her photography and exhibited her award-winning installation ‘The Weight of Silence’. She has been selected internationally as part of the LENSCRATCH Top 25 to Watch (2024) and was a part of the Photo Fringe Festival (2024), where she received the Danny Wilson Prize. She is also part of The Sisterhood Collective in Nottingham, participating in their first group show at the Nottingham Central Library (2025).
